Joe Rogan Experience #2074 - Shane Gillis

Joe Rogan and comedian Shane Gillis riff for three hours on cold plunges, Vikings, war history, conspiracy theories, religion, and UFC.

Joe Rogan Experience #2074 - Shane Gillis
The guest

Shane Gillis: Stand-up comedian, co-creator of the sketch series Gilly and Keeves and the Netflix special Beautiful Dogs, who had recently been doing Rogan's workouts.

What this episode covers

This is a loose, comedic episode with no central theme. Rogan and Gillis bounce between bro-fitness talk (cold plunges, vitamins, kettlebells), Viking and Roman history, surveillance and Pegasus spyware, toxoplasmosis and primate behavior, the causes of World War I and II, religion and conspiracy theories, and a long run of UFC fight breakdowns. Much of it is improvised riffing and crude jokes rather than substantive interview. Genuine recommendations are sparse and mostly films (Napoleon, All Quiet on the Western Front, The Outlaw Josey Wales) plus Gillis's own comedy projects.
